Luxury certified pre-owned sales for December were collectively up between 3%-14% with the exception of Audi where sales were down 2%.
Audi Certified Pre-owned Vehicles:
Last year was the second-best year ever for Audi Certified pre-owned vehicle sales, overcoming limited supplies of available pre-owned vehicles. For the full year, 36,469 Audi CPO models were delivered to customers, down 2.1% from the record levels seen in 2011. December 2012 ranks as the second-best December after December 2011.
BMW Pre-Owned Vehicles:
In December, sales of BMW used vehicles (including certified pre-owned and pre-owned) totaled 16,728, an increase of 2.9% from the 16,264 sold in December 2011. For the year, BMW used vehicle sales are up 2.1% on volume of 164,524 compared to 161,146 in 2011.
Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned Program:
Additionally, through the Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned (MBCPO) program, MBUSA sold 6,949 vehicles in December; an increase of 13.7% when compared to December 2011 (sales of 6,112 vehicles). On a year-to-date basis, MBCPO sold 80,380 vehicles, an increase of 7.8% over the comparable period (with sales of 74,571 vehicles).
The Porsche Certified Pre-Owned program
Certified Pre-Owned Sales finished 2012 at 9,512 units, up 14% over 2011. The Porsche Certified Pre-Owned program continues to offer the opportunity for customers to experience a Porsche at many different price points.
