MileOne Autogroup Expands with New INEOS Grenadier Dealership
MileOne Autogroup has opened its newest dealership, MileOne INEOS Grenadier, in Silver Spring, MD.
The dealership marks MileOne’s first foray into the INEOS Grenadier brand. MileOne Autogroup represents 67 franchises with 25 automotive brands along with 49 Service Centers in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, and North Carolina

The Maryland dealership is one of only 20 INEOS Grenadier dealerships in the U.S. MileOne INEOS Grenadier currently offers the five passenger SUV, available in three editions, consisting of the Base edition, the Trialmaster edition, and the Fieldmaster edition. By the end of the year, INEOS Grenadier will release their second model to the line-up, the Quartermaster, the pick-up truck version of the SUV.
Rolls-Royce, Volkswagen to Get Own Freestanding Dealerships in Naples
Local dealerships co-owned by affiliates of Terry Taylor, a West Palm Beach man believed to be the nation’s largest private owner of auto dealerships, are behind some of the latest expansion plans in Florida. The conglomerate plans to move Rolls-Royce of Naples and Volkswagen of Naples from shared spaces in Naples and East Naples, respectively, into their own freestanding dealerships nearby.
A small retail strip on U.S. 41 North is destined for demolition for a 20,325-square-foot Rolls-Royce dealership. Taylor’s TT of Naples acquired the adjacent more than 60-year-old retail center for $8.5 million in October 2021. Upon completion of the new building, the Rolls-Royce dealership will move where it will continue to provide new and pre-owned vehicle sales, as well as service and repair of vehicles.
In East Naples, plans are in motion to separate the Volkswagen dealership from the Airport-Pulling Road property it shares with Audi Naples while relocating VW about a half mile away northeast, around the corner onto Radio Road, said Brian Massoll, managing partner of Audi Naples, Volkswagen of Naples, Naples Acura and Naples Infiniti.
The new 36,632-square-foot VW dealership will be built on 4.7 acres at 3600 Radio Road. Plans show a mezzanine, showroom, service offices, customer lounge, retail and parts areas, and service/alignment bays.
“We expect the Volkswagen project to start loosely in October,” Massoll said. “The initial project was slated for a March 2020 start date. We are a little bit behind schedule and regrouped and reorganized. Once Volkswagen is complete, we will begin renovations on Audi’s exclusive site on Airport Road. This is a multiyear project for the two facilities.”
Wayne Mazda Opens as Largest Facility in U.S.
Wayne Mazda has opened largest Mazda facility in the country, located on Route 23 in New Jersey.
The 54,524-square-foot facility was built on an empty lot to replace a smaller Mazda dealership that opened next door in October 2001, according to Kevin DiPiano, the owner of Wayne Mazda. The old dealership will be remodeled and eventually occupied by Wayne AutoMall Hyundai, which DiPiano also owns as part of Performance Auto Group.
The existing Hyundai facility will be demolished to make way for a third DiPiano dealership, Genesis of Wayne. The Planning Board approved construction of that 22,740-square-foot building, including a mezzanine, in February 2023.
Thomas Donnelly, the chief executive officer of North American operations for Mazda Motor Corp., said the dealership was the “most spectacular” that he had ever seen. “Without question,” he said, “this is the biggest and the best execution of our vision of retail evolution that I’ve been a part of across many, many years.”
Nissan of Tustin Sold to Mass Auto Group
The sale of Nissan of Tustin from Tim Hutcherson to David Massoudi of Mass Auto Group has been completed, according to Performance Brokerage Services.
Mass Auto Group operates 5 dealership locations across Southern California representing Nissan, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and RAM.
Nissan of Tustin has received the Nissan Award of Excellence which recognizes employees and dealerships who consistently deliver outstanding results in sales, customer satisfaction, and owner loyalty. Hutcherson noted in the first meeting with Jason Stopnitzky of Performance Brokerage Services, they talked about my business and where he wanted to be in life at this point.
“He very quickly found a buyer for Nissan of Tustin and the transaction went smoothly from day one and closed without any issues,” said Hutcherson.
Nissan of Tustin will remain at its current location at 30 Auto Center Drive in Tustin, CA.
