ORLANDO, Fla. (April 10, 2018) – Digital Dealer is proud to have held its third Charity Auction in conjunction with the Digital Dealer Conference & Expo, with proceeds benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida.
The auction was held on the morning of Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at the TradeRev / ADESA booth in the Exhibit Hall, kicking off the first day of the Digital Dealer 24 Conference & Expo (April 10-12, 2018 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL).
Attendees and sponsors had the opportunity to bid on the auction item, a beautiful 2017 Harley-Davidson GX 750, generously donated by ADESA, a leading provider of vehicle auction and remarketing services, and TradeRev, a mobile app offering dealers fast, convenient access to high-quality trade-in and commercial consignment inventory, both business units of KAR Auction Services, Inc.
The auction concluded with a final bid of $8,500 from Jamie McBee, ecommerce manager at Toyota Motor Sales in Ohio. Funds raised from the auction will enable the Make-A-Wish Foundation to grant the wish of a child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition in the local community.
“I often say that life is all about creating memories,” said McBee. “A good memory was definitely created for me when I won the Harley at the Charity Auction at DD24. It was a great show, with great presenters, and hopefully a great future memory for a Make-A-Wish family. Thanks to Digital Dealer, Make-A-Wish, TradeRev, ADESA, and Toyota.”
David Southworth (vice president, Digital Dealer), Jamie McBee (ecommerce manager, Toyota Motor Sales), Doug Hadden (executive director, dealer consulting with ADESA), and Amanda Henry (development coordinator, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Northern Florida), celebrated the experience by posing for a group picture by the oversized check presented to the Make-A-Wish Foundation!
