CARMEL, Ind. – April 12, 2018 – ADESA, a business unit of global vehicle remarketing and technology solutions provider, KAR Auction Services, Inc. (NYSE: KAR), announces Ted Coates has been named general manager of its ADESA Los Angeles auction.
“We didn’t have to search far to find the new leader of ADESA Los Angeles. For the past six years, Ted has successfully led ADESA San Diego as general manager. Now he returns to the location where he grew his career through various managerial roles,” said Jay Hinchman, ADESA regional vice president of the western region. “He brings a wealth of industry knowledge along with many very strong relationships in the California market that will result in a smooth transition for our customers.”
In his new role, Coates will be responsible for managing ADESA Los Angeles auction operations, staff and client relationships. ADESA Los Angeles is a full-service facility with nine sale lanes — offering condition reports, on-site floorplanning, key services, inspections and reconditioning services in its detail, body and mechanical shops.
Coates brings more than 25 years of auto remarketing industry experience to his latest role at ADESA. Over the past 15 years, Coates developed a diverse background in auction operations through a series of management positions at the company.
