According to The New York Times, California has recently passed a used car law to help protect consumers. The law, the story said, requires dealers to check used cars on their lot for potential government issued problems. If the dealers find anything wrong with the vehicles, they will need to clearly mark them with a red warning label so consumers know. According to the story, this bill was supported by the California Auto Dealers Association.
