Auburn Hills, Mich. – Chrysler Group LLC will conduct a voluntary safety recall of approximately 129 U.S.-market 2012 Ram 1500 pickup trucks to reconcile mismatched spare-tire information placards.
Quality inspections performed at Chrysler Group’s production facility discovered a small number of vehicles may have been equipped with spare tires that do not correspond with information-placard specifications, as required by Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
The vehicles subject to recall were produced Jan. 5-6, 2012.
Chrysler Group LLC is not aware of any related accidents or injuries.
