General Motors is recalling 6,159 2012 vans and SUVs to fix an issue with the gear box that could cause drivers to lose steering control, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website said. According to the website, the recall includes the 2012 model years of the Chevrolet Express van, Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Savana van and the GMC Yukon XL. General Motors dealers will check the gear box and will replace the gear pitman shaft if needed.
