DAYTON, Ohio – August 5, 2025 – The Reynolds and Reynolds Company today announced the official release of Relo, its new parts delivery robot designed to create efficiencies and enhance safety for service departments. After months of development and a sneak-peek of the robot at NADA 2025, this cutting-edge technology is being brought to market. Relo incorporates autonomous robotic movement of parts, and seamless integration within the DMS, to achieve time savings and add to a smoother shop workflow.
“We’re extremely excited to be bringing Relo to Dallas for Reynolds Retail Summit: Amplify 2025,” said Chris Walsh, president and acting CEO of Reynolds. “Attendees at the event will have a first-hand look at the robot, see its functionality, and hear our expert staff talk about Relo and its capabilities so they can visualize the impact it can have in their service department.”
Part of the Reynolds Retail Management System, Relo’s programed autonomous routes allow it to know where it needs to take parts once it’s engaged. In transit, its lidar technology senses obstacles allowing it to avoid obstructions by navigating around them.
Further, Relo is designed to keep technicians in their bays where their skills are better used, instead of walking back and forth to the parts department to retrieve needed items.
Able to move several hundred pounds at a time, Relo also reduces potential for injury. With the parts delivery robots transporting heavier parts, technicians and parts personnel are not putting unnecessary strain on their bodies.
“Reynolds is always looking for ways we can enhance efficiencies and help improve outcomes for dealerships,” concluded Walsh. “Relo is a prime example of our constant push toward the future and focus on innovation that drives the industry forward.”
Walsh plans to make another major announcement at Amplify, regarding a significant technological advancement the company is making related to artificial intelligence.
