Sam D’Arc

Sam D’Arc is the Chief Operating Officer of Zeigler Auto Group and a leading operator voice in automotive retail.

Sam began his career in the 1990s on an Isuzu dealership lot in Utah, learning the business the old-fashioned way—on the showroom floor. Over decades, he rose through the ranks by mastering operations, people, and process, eventually becoming COO of Zeigler Auto Group, a 41-dealership organization spanning the Midwest. His career has been defined by scaling complexity without losing operational discipline.

Beyond the dealership group, Sam plays a central role in industry education and media as a co-host of Daily Dealer Live and host of the Industry Spotlight Podcast, both under the Car Dealership Guy umbrella.

In these roles, Sam brings real-world operator experience to the forefront—helping dealers cut through vendor noise, evaluate technology with a critical eye, and think more clearly about operational strategy in an increasingly complex environment. Known for his practical, no-nonsense approach, Sam bridges the gap between high-level industry conversation and what actually works inside dealerships.
