[TEANECK, NJ – August 14, 2025] — UVeye, the global leader in AI-powered vehicle inspections, is partnering with JLR (Jaguar Land Rover) North America to install automated inspection systems at the British luxury car maker’s three major U.S. seaport facilities in Brunswick, Georgia; Baltimore, Maryland; and Port Hueneme, California. The initiative makes JLR the first car manufacturer in the U.S. to implement UVeye’s AI inspections as part of its Customer Acceptance Line (CAL) process, ensuring vehicles arriving from overseas undergo comprehensive AI-powered inspections upon arrival to help meet the brand’s exacting standards before reaching retailers.
This move comes amid a broader wave of automation and digital transformation sweeping U.S. seaports. By automating vehicle inspections with UVeye at the point of entry, JLR is incorporating state-of-the art port processing and real-time data ecosystems into their supply chain. The result: faster vehicle flow, fewer manual errors, and more comprehensive inspections with full transparency from ship to showroom.
“Together, UVeye and JLR are setting a new standard for vehicle logistics, utilizing AI to enhance quality assurance from the moment a vehicle enters the country,” said Amir Hever, CEO and Co-Founder of UVeye. “By deploying our technology at port, JLR is creating a new benchmark of transparency, traceability, and trust throughout the supply chain. This is about more than efficient port processing; it’s about building smarter, faster, and more consistent automotive logistics that benefit everyone from OEMs and dealerships to drivers.”
UVeye’s inspection systems are already installed industry-wide at hundreds of dealerships across the U.S., supporting both fixed operations (service) and variable operations (sales) with real-time vehicle condition reports that drive customer trust, revenue, and efficiency. This new port deployment marks a critical expansion of UVeye’s footprint, powering inspections at every stage of the vehicle lifecycle, from factory floor to seaport to the showroom and beyond.
UVeye’s systems at JLR’s three seaport facilities are fully operational, scanning vehicles upon arrival to identify damage as small as 20mm, including minor dents, scratches, underbody issues, and rim damage – flaws that could go undetected during manual checks.
This automation provides:
- Full transparency between the OEM, dealership network, and customers through time-stamped inspections, streamlining delivery.
- High-precision detection for even the smallest imperfections, enhancing manual inspections.
- Early defect detection across manufacturing, transport, and port operations, reducing delays, rework, and disputes with carriers or dealerships.
- Process optimization that improves quality through real-time, data-driven insights to save time at both ports and assembly lines.
JLR and UVeye will continue to explore future innovation projects, redefining inspection, quality, and customer experience across the automotive ecosystem.
