FM Capital has successfully closed its fourth round of venture capital funding with $240 million raised. This fund marks the firm’s largest to date, surpassing its initial target by 20% thanks to contributions from a diverse group of investors within the automotive sector.
The venture capital firm specializes in early-to-mid stage technology companies innovating in the automotive and transportation industries. It was able to secure investment from an array of dealers, distributors, OEMs, suppliers, and insurers.
“We’re elated that the fund was oversubscribed by 20 percent, with the capital coming from the best and brightest in the automotive industry,” said Chase Fraser, Managing Partner at FM Capital. “These investors aren’t just backing a fund — they’re leaning into what’s next. For the entrepreneurs we support, this network isn’t just capital — it’s a strategic edge.”
Supporting Impactful Solutions
The newly raised funding will allow FM Capital to accelerate investments in cutting-edge technologies that are looking to reshape the automotive landscape. The firm identifies and partners with teams who are creating transformative technology and are particularly interested in companies looking to completely redefine how transportation services are delivered.
The firm’s investment focus spans multiple sectors, including AI and SaaS solutions for dealership operations, aftermarket services, and remarketing. Other areas of interest include advances in autonomous vehicles and robotics, connectivity and fleet management, and new energy transition technologies. The firm is consistently looking wherever anyone is trying to reinvent the movement of people and goods.
After the new funding, FM Capital’s focus will remain on companies that are already generating buzz and loyalty among customers. Those companies can then use the firm’s connections and experience to begin the process of scaling their innovations.
“With the expanded size of the fund, we’re positioned to back more than 20 transformative companies with initial investments ranging from $5–15 million,” said Mark Norman, Managing Partner at FM Capital. “From Series A to growth, we’re fueling the next wave of innovation in transportation.”
