Hoffman Estates, IL – The Dealer Services Group of Automatic Data Processing, Inc., Inc., and Liquidus, a leader in scalable online, mobile and on-demand video marketing solutions for auto dealers, announced today the release of Videolink® 4.0, the latest version of its unique real-time video player for dealer websites and online merchandising. ADP Dealer Services’s Digital Motorworks (DMI) , a leader in information management solutions to the automotive industry, is driving the release of this product for ADP. Incorporating HTML5 technology, Version 4.0 is the first tool of its kind compatible with iPads and iPhones, enabling car buyers to view instant vehicle videos of dealer offerings on Apple’s mobile devices.
The online player embeds dynamic video content, featuring human voiceovers, overlaid graphics, highlighted key features and photo montages into the dealer’s website. Videolink® 4.0 automatically recognizes the type of device the customer is using—PC, Mac, or mobile device—and serves the resulting video presentation in the correct format.
“iPads and iPhones have become a major part of people’s car shopping experience,” said Howard Gardner, CEO of DMI. “DMI is pleased to be the first to leverage the power of these devices for car buying through real-time video presentations. The result is fresh, accurate information that comes up fast, attracts buyers and moves cars.”
Videolink® 4.0 also lets publishers configure pop-up menus in or outside the video, allowing customers to share with friends, contact the dealer, receive a CarFax® vehicle history report, view additional images or see a map to the dealership. The player’s easy-to-use interface lets dealer personnel distribute videos across a range of sales portals and social media, while consumers can post vehicle videos to Facebook so their friends can vote on which one to buy.
Videolink 4.0 will become standard in October 2011 as the white-label product for its many partners including Cars.com, Kellybluebook.com, the GM Certified dealer network and many others.
