According to the Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is ending its investigations into the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2004-05 Ford Freestar and Mercury Monterey without seeking recalls, saying the issues don’t pose a serious safety concern.
The U.S. auto safety agency closed both investigations last month and posted a report on Tuesday disclosing the decisions.
In July, NHTSA opened an investigation into 107,000 Chrysler SUVs of power steering hose blow-offs that could result in fires.
