Ever left a meeting whether it’s with your team or a 1-on-1, on cloud nine, believing your team was all set to conquer the world, only to find their enthusiasm fizzling out days later?
The challenge lies in converting intentions into actions amidst the gravitational pull back into familiar routines.
It’s ok, I’ve been there too. Let’s tackle this together!
Unlocking a Framework for Success: Introducing a game-changing framework to elicit action post 1-on-1’s and fuel sustainable momentum…
As your next meeting starts to wrap up, I’d invite you to consider asking the following series of questions to help your team be intrinsically motivated to follow through on the actions that were set out.
Small Steps, Big Gains
What’s one small action you can initiate right now to follow through on what you said you were going to do? Spark momentum by taking that first step.
Interested or Committed?
Gauge dedication: Are you interested or committed in that small action? Interested? You’ll opt for convenience. Committed? You’ll do what’s imperative. On a scale of 1-10, where do you stand?
Turning Interest into Commitment
If it’s less than 10, ask: How can I help you reach the peak? If it’s a 10, ask: How would you like me to hold you accountable? Let’s partner on accountability to ensure follow-through.
Now it’s up to us to hold ourselves accountable to guide them to getting as close to a 10 as possible or being there for them as their accountability partner if it’s a 10.
You got this!
