Hypnotic Selling

Ever wish you could hypnotize your prospects into a trance where they say yes to almost everything you say? Highly successful salespeople actually do it on a consistent basis but if you ask them how, they normally can’t tell you. The answer to the mystery lies in something called Hypnotic Selling and believe it or not, it’s relatively easy to do.

It’s now known that highly successful sales people use sales and communication techniques that are nearly identical in structure to Hypnotists. Both create a hypnotic state where virtually everything they tell someone is readily accepted as true without conscious thought or scrutiny. How do they do it?

It all starts with rapport. Good salespeople and hypnotists do it quickly and easily by doing things like finding agreement in beliefs and opinions, giving the impression of authority, making a prospect laugh or making them feel good about themselves whenever they’re in their presence.

Once rapport and trust is established, a prospect’s conscious filter gets lazy and opinions and statements begin being accepted as true. You’ll notice that a prospect in this state will start to automatically nod and readily agree to what you are saying. The more yes’s you get, known as “yes sets”, the lazier the prospect’s filter becomes and the easier they are to persuade. Small yes’s or agreements at this stage will lead to larger ones later, like making a purchase.
The second step is to deepen the trance with a story of how another customer solved the same problems that your prospect has by using your product and how much he is enjoying the benefits. This not only puts them in a hypnotic trance but also lets your prospect test drive your product mentally and emotionally while taking mental ownership of it.

Imagine doing just those two things above with your own prospects. You’ll find yourself in a focused, hypnotic trance and becoming suggestible yourself. I’ll prove it. See what reaction occurs within you when you read the following… As you sit comfortably and read these words, you may notice that your mouth is starting to salivate. You may also notice that you have a growing need to swallow. Go ahead and swallow. You now feel the need to smile. Come on, you know you want to! How did I do that? Hypnosis. Once you to agree to one simple hypnotic suggestion, it becomes increasingly easy to get you to agree to more. Small agreements lead to larger ones. Like signing a purchase order. Now go do it!
