Kalamazoo Michigan (April 22, 2020) – Aaron Zeigler, the dealer group’s president and owner, announced on Monday, April 20, 2020 that he will be offering free health insurance for the month of May and June to all employees that are currently working or back to work by Friday, May 1, 2020.
In what he called the Zeigler Stimulus Reopening Plan, Zeigler notified employees via video message that the dealer group will be covering 100% of their health care costs for the next 2 months as long as they are currently working or are scheduled to come back to work by May 1, 2020.
“I think we have an awesome plan out there. I think what we are doing is absolutely unprecedented, I don’t think any other organization has done this but we are in unprecedented times too. And we want to be a leader in the industry moving forward and make sure that all of our employees are taken care of, and that they are happy, safe and healthy,” said Zeigler.
Aside from the free health care initiative, Zeigler also announced that all hourly employees will receive a $10/per hour increase in pay for the next 8 weeks. The average hourly employee hourly rate is around $15/hour. Additionally all flat rate techs throughout the organization will be guaranteed 40 hours per week for the next 8 weeks.
