Dream Motor Group, the dealership group co-owned by long-time Alabama football coach Nick Saban, has further expanded its footprint in Florida with the acquisition of two new showrooms. Dream, also owned by automotive executive Joe Agresti and former CEO of Mercedes-Benz USA Steve Cannon, purchased Bill Seidle’s Nissan and Bill Seidle’s Mitsubishi in Doral, Fla., from Bill Seidle’s Automotive Group. The deal closed April 1 and was officially facilitated by The Presidio Group.
“We’re thrilled to expand Dream Motor Group’s Florida footprint to Doral where we look forward to delivering dreams every day for our clients,” said Cannon. “After bringing us this opportunity, the Presidio team’s unparalleled expertise was critical to navigating the transaction to a successful close.”
The acquisition increases Dream’s Florida dealership count to four, as the Nissan and Mitsubishi properties join Mercedes-Benz of Cutler Bay and Mercedes-Benz of Coral Gables in the group’s portfolio. The deal also included all of the related real estate which is located in a major commercial corridor in metro Miami. The dealerships will now operate as Nissan of Doral and Doral Mitsubishi according to Dream’s website.
“South Florida remains one of the most dynamic automotive retail markets in the country, and well-situated locations like these will always draw strong interest,” said Alex Watterson, Presidio managing director. “This acquisition demonstrates how thoughtful portfolio decisions can position a growth-oriented retailer like Dream for long-term success in markets it knows well.”
Who Sold the Dealership to Nick Saban?
For the Bill Seidle’s Automotive Group the sale was a strategic exit after years of serving the Miami area.
“Our family is proud to have been part of the South Florida automotive community for many years,” said Michael Seidle, president of Bill Seidle’s Automotive Group. “When Presidio reached out to us with the opportunity to partner with Dream Motor Group, we knew it was legitimate. Wherever long-term plans for the location lead, Dream Motor Group will be great stewards of the legacy we built over the years. We appreciate Presidio’s professionalism and expertise in guiding this transaction to a smooth close.”
Dream and Saban’s Dealership Portfolio
Saban has quietly built a strong presence in automotive retail alongside his appearances on ESPN since retiring from college football in 2024. Dream now owns and operates 13 dealerships across the southeast, with locations in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Louisiana and Texas.
“I like winners,” said Saban. “More importantly, I like people who do what it takes to be a winner. The Presidio team and George Karolis embody that in the dealership M&A space.”
Dream has previously focused on mostly Mercedes-Benz locations but has previously begun to diversify, purchasing Toyota and Lexus dealerships late last year and now adding Nissan and Mitsubishi to the portfolio. The group has targeted highly active markets such as Nashville and Birmingham and worked with Presidio to increase their foothold in the hot Miami market.
“We are honored to be trusted advisors to Dream on this transaction. I’ve known Joe Agresti for nearly 30 years, since we started out in this business together, and it’s incredibly rewarding to come full circle to advise him today,” Karolis said. “Joe is a brilliant dealer and a genuine trailblazer in our industry. We also extend our thanks to Dream leadership, including Nick Saban, Steve Cannon and Randy Powell, for their unwavering trust in Presidio and congratulate them on another strategic acquisition.”
