According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, Ford Motor Company has issued three separate recalls involving the 1998-2003 Ford Windstar minivan.
The first recall is to fix the rear axle of the Windstar minivans that might, over time, corrode and weaken the axle. This recall affects 27,000 Windstar vehicles.
The second recall is to fix a problem with the front lower control arm that could result in substantial loss of steering control and increases the risk of a crash. This recall affects 23,000 minivans.
The third recall is to fix an issue with the rear axle that may become fractured and result in a loss of control. This recall affects 9,400 Windstar vehicles.
