Manheim Consulting’s monthly auto industry brief reported July 2011 wholesale used vehicle prices decreased when compared with June 2011’s numbers. The Manheim Used Vehicle Value Index is still up 5.9% (125.9) over July 2010 when it was 118.9.
Manheim said this decrease from last month is contributed to wholesale prices declining.
According to Manheim, pickup trucks have shown the best performance over the past 2 months. As for the other car segments, compact and midsize cars have shown the most increase over last year, both up over 10%, with compact cars up 16.7%.
