For automotive dealerships, tire sales represent a critical retention tool and revenue stream, yet the process of quoting tires has traditionally been manual and time-consuming. Service advisors often have to leave their desk, check the tires for size information, look up inventory, and calculate pricing—a friction-filled process that can lead to missed sales opportunities. This new integration aims to eliminate those hurdles by automating the workflow from detection to proposal.
How Does the UVeye AI-Integration Work?
The system begins at the service lane entrance. As a vehicle passes through UVeye’s drive-thru scanners—a system they describe as an “MRI for vehicles”—the technology automatically detects tire issues such as low tread depth, uneven wear patterns, mismatched brands, or sidewall damage. Previously, an advisor would receive this data and then have to manually enter vehicle information into a separate system to find a replacement.
With the new integration, detection triggers an immediate opportunity. When a tire issue is flagged, a quote is generated next to the inspection result. Clicking through launches an OEM-branded Tire Rack Wholesale portal with all critical data—including the dealer ID, vehicle make, model, and year—already pre-filled. The system instantly displays live dealer pricing and local availability, ensuring that the quotes provided to the customer reflect inventory that is actually in stock and ready to install.
