Sources from The Detroit News report that recent studies on sales in 2012 and Q1 of 2013 suggest small SUVs are adding largely to the improvement in new car sales. Crossovers are almost twice their market share since 2007, at 11.2%. The Ford Escape and Toyota RAV4 are prime contributors to this improvement.
