According to The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, BMW of North America, LLC is recalling 88,911 MINI vehicles. The website said the electronic circuit board for the water pump that cools the turbocharger could overheat and cause a fire. The recall includes the following vehicles (model years): 2007-2011 MINI Cooper S, 2008-2011 MINI Cooper S Clubman, 2009-2011 MINI Cooper S Convertible, 2011 MINI Cooper S Countryman, 2009-2011 MINI JCW, 2009 MINI JCW Clubman and the 2010-2011 MINI JCW Convertible.
