Google Adds Social Profile Links in Knowledge Graph, from DealerRefresh.
Google recently announced that all brands can now display their social profile links within the knowledge graph box. Smiles all around! Wait what is a knowledge graph box again…? Google it. Duh.
In late 2014 Google started to show social profile links within the knowledge panel for certain groups of people such as; actors, bands, and politicians. Google is now allowing brands to have social profile links displayed within the knowledge panel.
Google algorithms process social profiles and display the most relevant ones in response to users’ search. Google has also released information on how a brand can set up this featured title “mark up” and add the desired social profile links. Google also never announced this feature till after it was noted by Google user Dan Leveille on Search Engine Land.
