New York, NY – The AOL Huffington Post Media Group, a leading source of news, opinion, entertainment, community and digital information, announced today that Chris Eschenburg has been named VP & General Manager of Autos. In his new role, Chris will lead the business growth of AOL Autos and Autoblog, building on their reputations as leading sources of cutting-edge auto insider information, auto news and reviews, car-buying intelligence and more.

Autoblog obsessively covers the automotive industry with news, reviews, high quality photography, and commentary. Together, these sites provide the automotive answers that both the inexperienced and expert shoppers are looking for.

Eschenburg was most recently Managing Director at Fallon Worldwide, where he helped to open and oversee the company’s Detroit operation. Prior to Fallon, he worked at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners in San Francisco, where he oversaw the retail business for Sprint, on whose behalf the agency won five Cannes Lion awards, among other honors.
Eschenburg also led pro bono projects for the Department of Energy and AIDES France. He has worked in the editorial offices at Car and Driver and Automotive News, and in product development at Ford’s SVT group, before moving into advertising at Campbell Ewald (General Motors), J.Walter Thompson (Ford) and McCann Erickson (General Motors).
