Ken Potter Joins TrueCar as Vice President, Dealer Development

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — TrueCar, Inc., which is an online automotive information and communications platform focused on creating a better car buying experience for dealers and consumers, today announced the appointment of Ken Potter to oversee the company’s efforts to prospect, retain and grow TrueCar’s network of dealer partners.  In this role Potter will manage field sales and inside account management teams, build and strengthen dealer relationships and represent TrueCar at industry events.

Potter previously served as Vice President and General Manager, Automotive for Internet Brands where he had P&L responsibility for CarsDirect.com.  In his 11 years of experience with Internet Brands, Ken oversaw inside and outside sales, customer service, accounting and automotive product development. Under his leadership, Ken successfully scaled a team and created processes to establish a profitable and sustainable business.  Prior to Internet Brands, Potter served as the General Manager of two car dealerships, including nearly three years at CarMax plus held field sales roles with two major office products companies.
