For Nick Easterling, he is coming back to DealerPoint due to its unique approach to industry events that works well for the needs of the Paul Miller Motor Company.
“It provides me an opportunity to hear from companies I might not seek out otherwise,” said Easterling. “The industry is growing so fast right now, it can be a challenge to keep up with all of the latest tech and solution providers. I am thankful to be able to just sit down and focus on all of the solutions being presented to me at once.”
Set for April 9-11 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Resort in Orlando, FL., 2025 DealerPoint is a VIP networking experience highly curated for each dealership attendee, featuring 1:1 private meetings and boardroom presentations that foster long-term relationships for both the dealer executives and solution providers.
Returning for a Second Year
Easterling is the marketing manager for the Lexington, KY-based Paul Miller Motor Company, a group thast consists of three dealerships: Paul Miller Ford, Paul Miller Mazda, and Paul Miller Auto Outlet. Besides the dealerships, others auto-related businesses include a Ford Pro Elite Commercial Service Center, Top Shop aftermarket accessories, and KY Strong BBQ Cafe and Food Truck.
For this year’s DealerPoint, Easterling is anticipating seeing the presentations the most.
“I recommend DealerPoint for any dealership decision maker that is looking for an opportunity to be immersed with solutions all at once,” he said. “It provides an opportunity for you to spend a couple of days solely focused on finding what your company needs while also being introduced to companies that weren’t even on your radar.
In-Depth Conversations
Last year, the dealership signed up with a couple of vendors, including one that provided his team with information that led to them finding long-term inventory photography solution.
As for this year, a change to providing dedicated times for meeting slots afterward for more in-depth conversations works was something Easterling was glad to see.
“These are expensive and important decisions so it’s beneficial to get under the hood with the brands I am interested in,” he said.
Why Anderson Automotive’s Coming Back
Anderson Automotive Group‘s Kristi Alguire stressed “the team approach on the dealer side allows for some great conversations and connections, the DealerPoint team does a terrific job of matching interests to create the dealership teams. Being able to participate in a vendor’s 20-minute presentation without distractions, as well as the one-on-one meetings to ask questions and get more in-depth, make it easier to focus on whether a solution is right for your specific needs.”
Anderson is based in northern Illinois with 11 stores with 10 brands that include Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai, Nissan, Mazda, CDJR, Ford, Kia, Mitsubishi and BMW. Last year, Alguire said discussions led to the use of AI in service departments and the addition of a video provider at one of their dealerships.
“This is a unique event that’s laser-focused on benefitting both the dealers and the vendor/partners,” stated Alguire. “Not only will you form lasting relationships with your team members, you’ll have the opportunity to meet with solution providers that are not in high-pitch mode as they would be at a large conference.”
