Honda appears to be the average consumer’s favorite car brand, at least according to the Kelley Blue Book 2025 Consumer Choice Awards.
Honda nearly swept the mainstream brand categories, securing the titles of Best Overall Brand, Most Trusted Brand, Best Value Brand, Best In-Vehicle Experience Brand, and Best Performance Brand. This isn’t the first time Honda has seen this level of success in the awards as they have won Best Overall Brand nine of the last 12 years and Best Value Brand 11 years in a row.
The five awards were the most of any brand with Porsche and Lexus the only other car brands winning more than one category. Consumers pointed to Honda’s quality and range of vehicles for their overall brand victory and their practicality, fuel efficiency, safety, and reliability landed them the most trusted brand honors.
Luxury Brands
Turning to luxury, Porsche took home three awards with accolades for Best Overall Luxury Brand, Most Refined Luxury Brand, and Best Performance Luxury Brand. This is Porsche’s first overall luxury brand win in 10 years. The awards pinpointed Porsche’s commitment to delivering vehicles that are not only visually stunning and sophisticated but also offer luxury amenities and unparalleled driving experiences.
Lexus won the Most Trusted Luxury Brand yet again, an award it has maintained since 2016. Meanwhile, Acura stands out as the Best Value Luxury Brand, praised for offering affordable, fuel-efficient, models without compromising on luxurious design.
Other Awards
When it came to styling, Dodge and BMW emerged victorious. Dodge claimed the Best Car Styling Brand, applauded for its bold, muscular aesthetics. This win was also the only one standing in the way of a complete Honda sweep in the general car categories.
