Overland Park, Kan. ― NCM Associates, a leading provider of 20 Groups, management training, retail operations consulting, and operations benchmarking services for automotive dealers, today announced the launch of an automotive management “tip of the day” on Twitter specifically for auto dealers and general managers. The tips will be tweeted using the hashtag, #NCMTips and are designed to help dealership general managers and dealer principals improve their dealerships’ operating performance by way of recommended operational best practices. #NCMTips will not only provide another platform for the industry to share ideas, strategies and best practices, a process NCM Associates established in its pioneering automotive industry 20 Groups, but it will also allow NCM to share its leadership in dealership variable and fixed operations management and training.
NCM Associates has long been serving auto dealers through its industry Benchmark® analytics, focused management training, in-dealership consulting expertise, and franchised, independent and Buy Here, Pay Here 20 Groups. After 65 years, it knows the practices and processes industry-leading dealership operators use consistently to produce exceptional performance and profitability. It is those proven best practices and strategies that serve as the foundation of the NCM Institute’s management training curriculum and the focus of its twice-weekly Up To Speed blog articles. Now it will add another dimension of best practice sharing through its daily tips on Twitter.
Beginning this month, Twitter users may access the daily recommendations using hashtag, #NCMTips. Followers may read, share, or join the conversation by adding their own thoughts about the guidance proffered by NCM Institute’s director and lead facilitator, Garry House. While the character count limitation on Twitter doesn’t allow for detailed explanations, the objective of the daily tweets isn’t to teach, but rather to remind the reader about basic management processes they should be using day in and day out.
NCM’s president and CEO, Paul A. Faletti, Jr. said that reaching out via #NCMTips on Twitter is consistent with the company’s mission to be a leading resource for the automotive industry, which requires the company to provide relevant and timely information on social media as well as through its more traditional formats. “The Twitter format is conducive for these quick-hit, practical recommendations to help dealers improve their operations, serving as a reinforcement of the concepts we demonstrate and teach in detail through our consultants, educators, and 20 Group moderators,” Faletti said. “Whether dealers have a focused need to improve in one or more areas of their operation, or they are a top-performing, Benchmark®-level operator who appreciates the consistent reminder to tend to the basic ‘blocking and tackling’, these daily tips will help them maintain and improve their performance,” added Faletti.
Much like the company’s blog, which has found a large audience for its in-depth articles on dealership management best practices, #NCMTips is expected to find a niche audience for those comfortable on Twitter and other social media platforms. The first daily tip, “Enforce pre-established Dec. month-end cut-off for car deals, RO’s, and counter tickets. Follow-up w/accounting for compliance,” was posted on January 2nd.
