CHANDLER, AZ. – 11/18/19: Venture backed automotive tech company, Drivably, recently rolled out their newest suite of products in conjunction with Used Car Week 2019 that are designed to improve the inventory acquisition process for used car dealers. This launch introduces Drivably’s revamped Bulk Inventory Diagnosis tool (BID) along with the Drivably Chrome Extension. Both tools work to aid dealers in knowing what kinds of vehicles they should be purchasing based on their specific markets.
When asked about the launch CEO Tyler Hall said “I had the opportunity to run a dealership last year and one of my biggest frustrations was how much time myself and our buyers were spending sourcing cars. We would pour hours crunching the numbers and using the knowledge and experience we had to make the best decisions. I truly believe that with access to these new tools we would have saved 50+ hours a month that we could have otherwise devoted to other more important dealership operations.
Revamped Bulk Inventory Diagnosis Tool (BID)
The functionality and user experience of BID has been overhauled to ensure that the product is both functional and easier for dealers to use. BID takes the heavy lifting out of analyzing “run lists” or large spreadsheets that dealers receive from rental fleet, captive finance, and auction companies. These lists typically only provide dealers with the specifications of the cars along with what the car can be purchased for, but no data is given in regards to how long it will take to sell in your market, how much you can expect to sell it for, or whether or not the car makes sense for your lot. BID analyzes each car and gives it a letter based score based on whether or not it’s right for your specific market. Having access to key metrics like Market Days Supply, Days to Turn, and Retail Price will help dealers make confident decisions when acquiring inventory.
Analyze Any Car with the Drivably VIN former Chrome Extension
Historically, dealers have had to use software to analyze vehicles they find online by copying and pasting VIN numbers into appraisal software. With the new Drivably VINformer Chrome extension dealers will be able to simply click the”Drivably VIN” button that appears under the vehicle’s VIN and a window with all the necessary data to make informed buying decisions no matter how a dealer is purchasing their potential inventory.
“We believe dealers will find enormous value in both products and will quickly find that by making informed decisions they will not only save time, but make significantly more money in the process,” said Hall when asked about the impact Drivably will have in the automotive space, “Having experienced the struggle of finding margins in car sales I know how hard it is to make money selling cars. My hope and promise is that with products like BID and Drivably Chrome (lets give it a name) dealers will be able to carve out more front end profit on the cars they sell”.
Both BID and the Drivably Chrome extension are available today and can be accessed free of charge at platform.drivably.com and https://chrome.google.com/webstore/drivably, respectively for a limited time. For more information visit Drivably.com/FAQ or contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
