According to an article posted on The Detroit News, GM issued a new recall for airbags and rear suspensions.
The problem was first discovered in a GM company vehicle in December. GM later found three vehicles at the plant that had rear bolts that were not tightened properly.
Dealers will check the rear suspension bolts and tighten if necessary.
The recall includes 8,519 in the United States and just more than 1,000 in Mexico and Canada.
GM also is recalling 3,896 2012 Buick Verano, Chevrolet Camaro, Cruze and Sonic cars to address frontal airbags that may not work because of a faulty part.
