HILLIARD — BMW Group Financial Services associates and their covered dependents needing medical care can now visit the new 2,036-square-foot health care center at the operations center here for treatment by the on-site nurse practitioner and medical assistant.
According to Wayne Orchowski, BMW Group Financial Services Chief Operating Officer, “We place a very high value on all of our associates and strive to provide them with a safe, comfortable workplace, one which, we hope, makes the experience of working for BMW Financial Services less stressful and more productive.
“For many associates, our convenient, on-site center will serve as their first point of entry into the healthcare system. For those who have an established relationship with a primary-care physician, our clinicians will perform in a support role.”
All associates enrolled in the BMW Medical Plan, and their covered dependents, will be able to visit the BMW Health Center between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. The nurse practitioner and medical assistant will have three examination rooms and a laboratory at their disposal.
Acute/episodic services provided will include: illness/injury treatment and follow-up; injections, including flu shots and allergy injections; laboratory work including blood draw; work-related travel medical consultation; adult physicals and vaccinations, biometric screening, and evaluation, stabilization and treatment.
Specific conditions which may be treated include (but are not limited to): upper-respiratory infections such as sore throat, colds and flu; earaches; minor gastrointestinal complaints; new onset headaches; minor wound care; skin complaints; minor complaints of pain; new onset musculoskeletal complaints such as back pain, sprains and strains, and sports, camp and scout physicals (age 12 and up).
“We hope by opening this on-site healthcare center will make it much-more convenient for our associates and their families to get quality medical care,” added Orchowski.
Take Care Health, one of the nation’s premier on-site health-center providers, will manage the center.
