BURLINGTON, NC — Mr. Paul Snider, 59, of Seminole, FL, and formerly of Burlington, NC, died at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital on Jan. 11, 2012.
A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Luther Alexander Snider and Addie Inez Wooley Snider, both deceased. Paul, a father of two, was a 41-year veteran of the automotive and auto finance industry.
Paul had a passion for the automobile and his work in the automobile industry and was well-respected among colleagues. He served as chairman emeritus for the National Auto Finance Association.
His most recent position was Executive Vice President of Business Development with Southside Financial Group.
He was also a proud member of both the Masonic Lodge and Shriner Organization.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren, traveling and meeting new people, auto racing, and country music. He believed in the saying, “You’ve got to stand for something or you will fall for anything.”
Paul is survived by his two sons, Travis Snider of Lexington and Michael Snider with spouse Jennifer Snider of Palm Harbor, Fla.; three grandchildren; Alexandria Snider, Luke Snider and Addison Snider; and a sister, Delores Cobb and spouse Larry Cobb of Mebane, N.C. Travis Snider is a police officer in North Carolina, and also works with his brother, Michael Snider, founder of Elite Marketing, which serves the automotive industry.
Funeral services were held at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington, Jan. 19. Burial was in Pine Hill Cemetery.
