Overland Park, KS —NCM Associates, a leading provider of automotive 20 group, retail operations consulting, training, and operations Benchmark® analysis services to franchised and independent auto dealers, today announced the first graduating class of its year-long General Management Executive Program. The General Management Executive Program is a comprehensive executive development training program consisting of a series of 2½ day sessions conducted over 11 months. The first class celebrated its graduation today and the next class kicks off in August of 2012. Enrollment closes July 31st and is limited to 25 students. All classes meet at the NCM Institute training headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas.
Excited to be among the first to graduate, student Tarik Shapli from Audi Wynnewood stated, “This course provides a great overview of a General Manager’s area of responsibility, and then backs it up with a lot of detail regarding the measurement, performance and improvement of each department.” Graduating student Michael Tourtillott of Sisbarro Autoworld agreed stating, “If you’re going to start the journey of management, this is the perfect map to follow.”
The General Management Executive Program is designed to equip current and future automotive dealership executives for long-term success in retail automotive management. With emphasis in dealership financial and operational best practices, the program’s objective is to build a solid executive leadership foundation through the structured transfer of critical knowledge and skills by NCM’s industry veteran faculty. The curriculum focus is comprehensive, intensive and designed to give the students the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage a dealership, balancing the volatility of the industry with the myriad operational decisions that drive the profitability of their dealerships.
Paul A. Faletti Jr., president and CEO of NCM Associates, prepared a special video announcement for the inaugural class. In the video, Faletti said, “I want to express my sincere respect, gratitude and appreciation for the time you spent with us at GMEP.” Faletti also thanked the graduates for their willingness to share their insights, wisdom and experiences during the course of the program, and encouraged them to put the principles learned to good use in their respective dealerships, to embrace lifelong professional development as the key to their long-term success, and to be open to innovative approaches and technologies without abandoning the fundamental best practices that are at the foundation of every successful operation.
Garry House, director of the NCM Institute Center for Automotive Retail Excellence had this to say: “I am very proud of each one of today’s graduates; they have worked diligently to balance the rigors of professional study with their day-to-day dealership duties through the 11 months of this program. I am certain they will all find great success in their retail automotive careers, and I applaud their dealership principals for the investment they’ve made in their students’ success.”
NCM Institute is a well-established training partner to retail automotive dealers, having trained nearly 2,000 dealership managers, executives and dealer principals in the 2-years following the launch of an all-new suite of management and leadership training programs in early 2010. NCMi® is unique in that it uses dedicated instructors, but also exposes its students to visiting instructors who are NCM executive conference moderators and Retail Operations consultants actively working in dealerships and with dealership managers, principals and owners every day.
“It’s vital these students have a faculty comprised of industry experts and veteran automotive retail executives to guide them,” stated House. “Our instructors are highly experienced retail managers who, as well as their positions on the NCM Institute faculty, are also actively working in dealerships with their clients. They bring deep, real-world retail automotive management experience to the classroom,” he added.
