Both Ford Motor Company and Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. announced both companies were donating $100,000 each to the American Red Cross to help with tornado relief efforts.
Ford Motor Company Fund is donating $75,000 to the American Red Cross and its chapters, as well as the Dare to Care Food Bank in Louisville to assist with disaster relief primarily in southern Indiana, and northern and eastern Kentucky. With matching employee donations, total contributions are expected to reach $100,000.
Toyota announced a $100,000 donation to the American Red Cross and other nonprofit organizations to support relief efforts for victims of the recent outbreak of tornados in the Southern and Midwestern regions of the United States. Toyota will also match employee contributions made to the American Red Cross and other non-profits doing relief and recovery work in affected communities.
