Las Vegas, NV: Alcoa Architectural Products will introduce Reynbond with EcoClean to the members of NADA/ATD, and unveil a new corporate identity program at the 2012 NADA/ATD Convention & Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Booth #2132, from February 3 – 6th, 2012.
“Traditionally, Reynobond® ACM has been used to clad exterior facades, canopies, soffits and column covers,” said Dutch Juedeman, the National Program Development Manager for Alcoa Architectural Products. “The automakers’ CID design teams have been among the first to take their visions to a higher level; experimenting with creative interior applications of the material. They’re thinking beyond straight walls to create custom-tailored brand environments with unique architectural elements such as convex-curved walls, cut-out ceiling elements, rolled soffits and extending Reynobond-clad walls through the curtain wall to visually amalgamate the interior and exterior spaces.”
“Our durable, proven paint systems are formulated for high UV resistance, and our coil-coating technology allows us to produce an unlimited number of panels showcasing program colors from one location to the next. Our new program was designed to increase the accessibility to the information CID designers need to compare the attributes of each type of finish we offer on our Reynobond ACM and Reynolux materials and to determine which one is right for their program.” Alcoa also offers a DesignAssist program to provide corporate design teams and fabricators with the resources they need to deliver their projects with the desired aesthetic on time and on budget.
Reynobond with EcoClean, Alcoa’s latest innovation, was introduced to great acclaim at the AIA convention in New Orleans in May 2011. It is the first coil-coated architectural panel that helps clean itself and the air around it. Working with the TOTO®-patented HYDROTECT technology a team of Alcoa scientists developed the EcoClean finish, the first titanium dioxide finish that can be applied to a pre-painted metal surface. Created to help reduce façade maintenance costs over the life of a building, EcoClean draws on sunlight, rainwater and other natural forces to help cleanse the environment of some of the most prolific organic materials and major contributors to air pollution such as nitrogen oxides.
